Trace is a free iPhone app developed by Trace - App UG that aims to simplify travel expense reports. Designed for business professionals, this app automates travel documentation and calculation of meal allowances, allowing users to focus on their job.
To get started, users simply need to set their home location within the app. When leaving their home location, the app prompts users to indicate if the trip is for business purposes. If confirmed, the app automatically records travel destinations and times.
After each change of location, users can add notes about the purpose of their trip. With just one click, users can generate a file containing their meal allowances, with all daily allowances automatically calculated.
The app also allows for manual travel editing and provides a mileage tracking and calculation feature (currently in beta). Additionally, there is an export function for Kontist, a feature that allows for adjustments to allowances when meals are provided, and the ability to save previously used addresses.
